Job Summary
Conduct personal care tasks for hospice patients, including changing bedding, bathing, and maintaining hygienic routines like wound dressing care. Instruct family members on basic health-care procedures and consult with supervising registered nurses regarding patient progression and family needs. Maintain a valid driver's license and possess CPR certification while completing required training and competency evaluations.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet one of the following requirements: 1) have a minimum of one year full time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility); 2) have one year experience within the last five years in direct client care in a home health or hospice setting
- Must be registered and listed in good standing on the nurse aide registry in the state of employment
- Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device
- Must possess a valid state driver license
- Must maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law
- Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition
- Must be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions
- Must complete training, competency evaluation in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Must possess CPR certification

- DELAWARE - Must have completed one year in a department approved facility setting; or completed 75 hours of instruction training with practicum and supervision; or be student nurse and completed clinical practicum
- FLORIDA - Must hold a home health aide certificate
- IDAHO - Must hold a certificate as a certified nurses assistant
- ILLINOIS - Must hold a certificate as a certified nurses assistant
- KANSAS - Must hold a home health aide certificate
- MARYLAND - Must hold a certificate as a certified nurses assistant
- MONTANA - Must hold a home health aide certificate
- NEVADA - Must hold a certificate as a certified nurses assistant
- OKLAHOMA - Must hold a certificate as a certified nurses assistant
- OREGON - Must hold a home health aide certificate
- PENNSYLVANIA - Must hold a certificate as a certified nurses assistant
- TEXAS - Must hold a home health aide certificate
- WASHINGTON - Must hold a home health aide certificate
- WYOMING - Must hold a home health aide certificate
