Job Summary
Conduct personal care tasks including changing bedding, bathing hospice patients, and assisting with hygienic routines like brushing teeth and wound dressing maintenance. Instruct family members on performing basic health-care routines and consult regularly with supervising registered nurses regarding patient progression and family needs. Maintain a valid state driver license, automobile liability insurance, and dependable transportation while completing required training and competency evaluations. Hold CPR certification and meet state-specific registry or certificate requirements. Operate mobile devices and demonstrate basic technology skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet one of the following requirements: 1) have a minimum of one year full time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility); 2) have one year experience within the last five years in direct client care in a home health or hospice setting
- Must be registered and listed in good standing on the nurse aide registry in the state of employment
- Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device
- Must possess a valid state driver license
- Must maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law
- Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition
- Must be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions
- Must complete training, competency evaluation in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Must possess CPR certification

- Must have completed one year in a department approved facility setting; or completed 75 hours of instruction training with practicum and supervision; or be student nurse and completed clinical practicum (DELAWARE)
