Job Summary
Hospice Clinical Director responsible for overseeing daily hospice operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, mentoring nursing and clinical staff, developing and evaluating clinical policies, collaborating with medical directors and health teams, conducting clinical audits, providing education and training, and serving as liaison with regulatory bodies, families, and external stakeholders. Requires RN licensure, a Bachelor’s in Nursing (or related field), at least 2 years hospice/palliative care experience, and demonstrated leadership. Excellent communication, regulatory knowledge, and ability to manage staffing and ensure compliance and quality across home-health services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree in Nursing, or related field
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where work is performed
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in hospice or palliative care is required
- Previous leadership or management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and hospice standards
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform a range of nursing tasks with sensitivity and compassion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build rapport with patients through a compassionate and caring demeanor
