Job Summary
Conduct spiritual assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients and families while providing direct spiritual support. Coordinate with community chaplains, spiritual counselors, and the clinical team to ensure comprehensive end-of-life planning. Maintain records for quality assurance, attend interdisciplinary team meetings for consultation, and oversee condolence calls and support group scheduling. Recruit and educate volunteers, supervise spiritual care staff as needed, and perform funeral or memorial services upon request. Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality throughout all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated theological coursework
- 5+ years of experience in a formal ministerial setting
- Ability to pass background, consumer report and drug test
- Valid State Driver's License
- Access to an automobile in good working order
- Automobile insurance in accordance with state and organizational requirements
- Acceptable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biblical studies, theology, or religious studies or equivalent theology degree
- Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (MDIV, MTS, ThM or equivalent theological degree)
- One or more unit(s) of Clinical Pastoral Education
