Job Summary
Provide direct spiritual support and/or counseling to patients and families, work with staff, clergy, and community groups to address spiritual concerns of patients experiencing terminal illness, participate in IDG conferences, provide bereavement follow-up, maintain patient/family records, arrange funeral or memorial services, develop a resource group of clergy for delegated aspects of spiritual care, arrange on-call spiritual services, educate team members about spiritual care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support ANX patients and families.
Required Qualifications
- Earn a bachelor’s degree in theology, religious studies, pastoral counseling, or a related field
- Receive an endorsement from your church or religious organization
- Complete four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
- Obtain both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in theology or a related field
- Clinical experience under the supervision of an experienced chaplain
