Job Summary
Hospice Chaplain PRN with on-call hours 5pm-8am. Provides spiritual and empathic care, initiating, developing, deepening, and closing relationships with patients and families. Requires Master of Divinity (or equivalent) with preference for ordained/commissioned ministers endorsed by their faith group; board certification candidates or those pursuing APC, BCC-HPCC, NACC, or NAJC; Clinical Pastoral Education (C.P.E.) completion preferred; minimum three years of active pastoral ministry or chaplaincy experience; documentation skills; ability to drive in varying conditions; valid driver’s license and state-required insurance. Required Qualifications
- Master of Divinity degree (M. DIV) or equivalent in Theology
- ordained or commissioned ministers that are ecclesiastically endorsed
- board certification candidates preferred or working towards APC, BCC-HPCC, NACC, or NAJC
- Clinical Pastoral Education (C.P.E.), 4 units preferred, minimum 1 unit and enrolled for completion
- three years of current active pastoral ministry or chaplaincy experience
- computer skills sufficient to document services and care
- ability to drive during daytime/nighttime or inclement weather
- valid driver's license with safe driving record
- state minimum automobile insurance coverage
