Job Summary
Conduct spiritual assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients and families. Provide direct spiritual support, coordinate with community chaplains and counselors, and attend interdisciplinary team meetings for consultation. Maintain records for quality assurance, recruit volunteers, and oversee condolence calls and support group scheduling. Perform funeral and memorial services as requested while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Lift up to 12 pounds occasionally 20 pounds. Requires theological coursework or five years of ministerial experience, a valid driver's license, and access to a vehicle. St. Croix Hospice guides patients through the end-of-life journey with dignity and comfort.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated theological coursework
- 5+ years of experience in a formal ministerial setting
- Ability to pass background, consumer report and drug test
- Valid State Driver's License
- Access to an automobile in good working order
- Automobile insurance in accordance with state and organizational requirements
- Acceptable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biblical studies, theology, or religious studies or equivalent theology degree
- Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (MDIV, MTS, ThM or equivalent theological degree)
- One or more unit(s) of Clinical Pastoral Education
