Job Summary

The hospice chaplain provides interfaith spiritual care in patients' homes or their communities, performing spiritual assessment, counseling, and education as part of an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include building therapeutic relationships, conducting assessments, delivering spiritual interventions, supporting end-of-life processes, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with community chaplains while adhering to Bloom standards. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Counseling/Divinity/Theology/Ministry or Pastoral Care and at least two years of health-care-based spiritual support; Colorado driver’s license and auto insurance are required. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and prior hospice experience; bilingual abilities are a plus. Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate ($31-$35) with a monthly car stipend, and a collaborative, growth-focused work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Divinity, Theology, Ministry or Pastoral Care from an accredited school
  • Minimum of two years' experience providing spiritual support and counseling to clients and family members in a health care setting
  • Demonstrated expertise in spiritual assessment and counseling, and in concepts of death and dying issues
  • Knowledge of concepts and issues for dying for adults and children
  • Current Colorado driver's license and automobile insurance
