Job Summary
Provide total patient care under the supervision of an RN in hospice, including turning, transporting, catheter care, bathing, and skin care; report changes in medical, emotional, spiritual, or psychosocial status to the RN Case Manager or designee to keep the interdisciplinary team updated; identify and recommend medical equipment and supplies to help patients maintain comfort and dignity and enable families to provide care; deliver compassionate care throughout the end-of-life transition; follow nursing assistant standards of practice and contribute to achieving HOC quality goals and outcomes; perform other duties as communicated in the job description and performance goals.
Required Qualifications
- Current Maryland CNA certification
- Minimum of one year of experience in a health care setting
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and reliable transportation
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
