Job Summary
Directs the daily operations of a hospice branch, ensuring regulatory compliance and high standards of patient care. Oversees and supports clinical and administrative staff, manages branch budgets and financial performance, and coordinates with referral sources and community partners. Maintains quality and timely documentation of patient care, monitors patient satisfaction, and participates in strategic planning and organizational development. Investigates and resolves complaints and incidents related to patient care; maintains organizational charts and records. Requires leadership, organizational, and communication skills; occasional travel to patient homes and community events; flexible schedule to handle stressful situations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Must meet state requirements for hospice administration
- Current license as a registered nurse (RN) in Texas and/or following the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Current Driver’s License
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in hospice or home health
- Experience with regulatory compliance and staff supervision required
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of hospice regulations and standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
