Job Summary
Hospice and Palliative Care Physician needed for locum tenens coverage at a 329-bed Northern Georgia hospital. Provider will perform inpatient palliative care consultations for adult patients and supervise a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with no on-call or holiday requirements. Documentation to be completed in Cerner EMR. Requires board certification in Palliative Care and fellowship training, with recent experience within the past 12 months; credentialing 60–90 days and emergency privileges available. On-site assignment at the Georgia facility with opportunities to support ongoing palliative care services and maintain high-quality patient care while navigating credentialing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification in Palliative Care
- Fellowship trained in Palliative Care
- Good amount of recent experience within past 12 months
- Credentialing 60-90 days with emergency privileges available
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Ability to supervise a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner
- Adult patient population experience
- No-call requirement and Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM shift
