Hospice and Palliative Care Faculty Physician- UPMC Altoona

Faculty attending physician role in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Provides inpatient and outpatient palliative care, participates in teaching residents and fellows, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team including APs, social worker, pharmacist, and other staff. Affiliated with UPMC Graduate Medical Education and the family medicine residency, with opportunities to oversee geriatric rotations and inpatient medicine coverage. Requires board certification or eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine; ABFM/AOBFP certification in family or internal medicine is preferred; academic medicine experience is welcome but not required. Located in Altoona, PA, within a university-affiliated, rurally oriented program with a strong emphasis on hands-on training and diverse subspecialist collaboration. Equal opportunity employer.
