Job Summary
Faculty attending physician in UPMC Altoona Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship. The role involves providing anesthesia-free palliative care consultation and management across inpatient, outpatient, and nursing-home settings; contributing to a university-affiliated, rural-oriented fellowship program with a focus on hands-on training, didactics, and resident supervision; collaboration with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, APPs, social work, pharmacy, and staff; and participating in academic activities with potential to precept residents and collaborate with the family medicine residency.
Required Qualifications
- ABFM or AOBFP certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Board eligibility or board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- Ability to join as faculty attending physician in an academic setting
- Experience in academic medicine preferred but not required
