Job Summary
Hospice Aide - CNA provides direct patient care under the direction of an RN and according to the Hospice Aide/Homemaker Plan of Care. Responsibilities include assisting with safe transfers and ambulation, reporting and documenting changes to ensure continuity of care, practicing infection control, maintaining respectful communication with patients, families, and staff, and timely completion of documentation while complying with local, state, and federal regulations and agency policies. Requires a high school diploma or GED, an unencumbered CNA license, and at least one year of hospice/NA experience. EMR experience is a plus; must have a current driver's license, reliable transportation, and active auto liability insurance. Full-time role with benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k with employer match, tuition reimbursement, and mileage reimbursement; company car available for qualifying individuals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Unencumbered CNA license/Certification
- Current CNA license
- At least one year experience as Hospice Aide or Nursing Assistant in hospital/nursing home/home health/hospice/long term care
- EMR experience a plus
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation with valid auto liability insurance
- Ability to provide direct patient care under RN direction
- Ability to assist with transfers and ambulation per policy
- Commitment to infection control
- Strong communication with patients/family and coworkers
- Compliance with laws and policies
- Pay type: Hourly
