Job Summary
Hospice Aide providing comprehensive, compassionate care across settings (home, long-term care, assisted living, or hospital). Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating), delivering emotional support and companionship, communicating with residents, families, and healthcare teams, facilitating resident recreational and therapeutic activities, and adhering to infection control protocols. Qualifications emphasize CPR, driving between locations, and the ability to obtain Hospice Nursing Assistant Certification within 24 months; prior experience as a Hospice Aide, Home Health Aide, or CNA is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Active CPR certification
- Current driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
- Ability to travel between multiple locations within your region
- Ability to obtain Hospice Nursing Assistant Certification (through CHPN) within 24 months of employment
- Experience working as a Hospice Aide, Home Health Aide, and/or Certified Nursing Assistant during the previous 24 months (preferred)
- Hospice or palliative care experience (preferred)
