Job Summary
Provide personal care services to terminally ill patients in various settings, including assisting with mobility, performing basic procedures, and supporting family caregivers. Observe and report changes in patient conditions to licensed nurses while completing timely documentation and educating families on care techniques. Maintain confidentiality and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, adhering to hospice regulations and a minimum of 12 hours of annual job-specific training. Requires a current Florida CNA license, CPR/BLS certification, and valid driver's license. Scheduling includes flexibility for weekends, holidays, and shifts across multiple care sites.
Required Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Valid Florida driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Required immunizations and screenings (e.g., TB, Hepatitis, Flu)
- Clearance for communicable diseases prior to patient contact
- Reliable transportation and ability to shift work locations

- Compliance with continuing education and professional development policies
- Understanding of personal care principles and hospice care standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members
