Hospice Aide (CNA Required)

Job Summary
The Hospice Aide reports to the Clinical Manager and functions as a member of the health services team, providing personal care and related in-home services to assigned patients under supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with ambulation and transfers, nourishment and fluid needs, documenting vitals, infection control, adhering to the patient care plan, offering emotional support to patients and families, scheduling flexibility, and maintaining a safe home environment. Requires OH STNA certification and at least 1 year of Hospice Aide experience; valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. The role emphasizes compassionate, team-oriented care and compliance with regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Currently Certified as a STNA in the state of Ohio
- Minimum of 1 year of Hospice Aide experience in a health care or home care setting
- CPR certification preferred, but not required
- Current driver’s license with current automobile insurance and must have reliable transportation
- Excellent communications skills
- Compliant with accepted standards and practices
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of providing patient care, ambulating patients, transferring patients, assisting with exercises
- Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision
- Avid team player
- Empathetic, nonjudgmental, tactful, responsible, adaptable, organized, and committed to the purpose and objectives of the Agency
