Job Summary
Provide direct patient care of hospice services and maintain required documentation. Role requires completion of state-approved CNA training, active registry listing, CPR certification, and ongoing continuing education. Travel and flexible working conditions may be assigned. Emphasis on compassionate, thorough care for homebound hospice patients with strong communication skills and adherence to company policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- successful completion of a Board of Nursing approved training and competency evaluation program
- current listing with the Division of Facility Services Registry
- one year of patient care and record keeping experience in an acute care or custodial setting
- Documented proof at least 75 certified education hours
- Ability to independently organize work and provide effective health care services to homebound patients through appropriate patient care, and document said care thoroughly, accurately, and completely on a timely basis
- Working knowledge of CPR certification
- Minimum of 12 hours of continuing education annually
