Job Summary
Hospice Aide - CNA responsible for direct patient care under RN supervision, assisting with transfers and ambulation, and documenting changes and care provided. Responsibilities include infection control, compassionate communication with patients and families, timely documentation, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Requires CNA license, unencumbered certification, and at least one year of hospice/long-term care experience; driver’s license and reliable transportation. Full-time role with benefits including medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and mileage reimbursement. Company car available for qualifying individuals.
Required Qualifications
- Unencumbered CNA license per Nurse Aide Registry
- Current CNA license
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- At least one year experience as Hospice Aide or Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home, home health agency, hospice or long-term care facility
- Demonstrates interest in welfare of ill and elderly; maintains confidentiality
- EMR experience is a plus
- Must have current driver's license, reliable transportation, and ongoing auto liability insurance
