Job Summary
Hospice Aide (CNA) – PRN providing direct personal care and compassionate support to hospice patients in patients' homes and licensed facilities within Corsicana, TX service area. Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding and hydration support, assisting with ambulation/transfers/repositioning, monitoring and reporting changes to supervising RN, maintaining a safe care environment, documenting care, offering companionship and emotional support, and delivering care across settings. Weekend or after-hours support may be required; care is delivered under supervision of a Registered Nurse Case Manager or Director/Manager of Clinical Services, following individualized care plans and standard precautions. Must reside in the Corsicana area, hold a current CNA certification and CPR, and demonstrate empathy and reliability for terminally ill patients and their families.
Required Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (state-approved training program)
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to read, follow, and document written care instructions
- Understanding of hospice philosophy and needs of terminally ill individuals
- Ability to work in home and facility settings with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Demonstrated empathy, sensitivity, and ability to support patients and families from diverse backgrounds
