Job Summary
Directly caring for individuals served in a greenhouse setting, including in-house activities, community outings, implementing and monitoring goals, assisting with mealtimes and transportation, and supporting arts and crafts while ensuring health and safety. The role involves following agency policies, participating in safety procedures, supporting fundraising events, and performing duties as defined by the OWC job description, with part-time hours (M/T/F) and a 24-hour shift structure. Requires a High School diploma or GED and the ability to drive for OWC; greenhouse experience is a plus. The position emphasizes creativity, compassion, teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Must have ability to drive for OWC (Opportunity Works CT)
- Experience in a Green House or Day Program setting is a plus
- Reliability, dependability, and flexibility with your hours are necessary
- Ability to interact professionally with co-workers and individuals served
- Must be able to work as a part of the team as well as independently
