Job Summary
Horticulturalist / Gardener / Landscaper needed at Pocono Farms Country Club in Tobyhanna, PA for a full-time seasonal outdoor role. Responsibilities include planting, maintaining, and caring for flowers, shrubs, and landscape beds; performing watering, fertilizing, weeding, pruning, mulching, and general garden maintenance; monitoring plant health and addressing issues related to growth, pests, or disease; maintaining clean, attractive landscaped areas; and assisting with general landscaping and groundskeeping duties. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Understand planting, caring for, maintaining, fertilizing, watering, weeding, and pruning a variety of flowers and shrubs
- Knowledge of different plant species, varieties, growth habits, and life cycles
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision while following seasonal maintenance schedules
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Able to frequently work bent over or on their knees for extended periods
