Job Summary
COMMUNITY COORDINATOR responsibilities include planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating HOPWA-funded housing programs; managing housing vendors; conducting site visits and inspections to ensure HUD compliance; analyzing data in the HOPWA data system (eCOMPAS); delivering programmatic action plans to improve vendor performance; collaborating with NYC stakeholders and housing providers; delivering technical assistance and capacity-building trainings; and assisting with annual grant applications. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of HIV-related housing policy (HOPWA/HUD), experience with populations affected by homelessness and HIV, strong project management and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. The role supports work-from-home up to two days per week depending on position, and is based in NYC with in-person requirements for the listed location (Long Island City, NY). Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities related to the duties described
- High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or related areas
