Job Summary
Maintain the safety of Hope House residents and lead daily living skills support, crisis intervention, and coverage activities during Friday and Saturday shifts from 6:00am to 2:30pm. Collect, document, and report information and data as required while engaging in skills-building activities. Work as a team member to support outcomes aligned with program goals and the agency mission for individuals experiencing homelessness.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of the Preble Street mission and harm reduction
- Understanding and positive regard for individuals experiencing homelessness and/or living in poverty
- Understanding of low-barrier services and related challenges
- Understanding of mental illness, substance use, and co-occurring disorders
- Ability to establish and maintain boundaries within diverse populations
- Effective crisis intervention skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field of study
- Experience in direct service provision to people experiencing homelessness
- Comparable combination of education and relevant experience
