Job Summary

Engage with youth to make them feel welcome, safe, and supported while collaborating with Case Managers, Behavioral Health Specialists, and Program Coordinators. Appropriately respond to and coach youth through verbal, physical, and emotional altercations, and accompany them to designated recreational activities and mealtimes. Assist with housekeeping duties, review health guidelines, organize food daily, and administer/observe medication times with accurate documentation. Ensure a safe environment for employees, volunteers, and residents while completing data entry tasks and participating in monthly program outcome reporting. Maintain confidentiality of youth information and provide feedback on policies and trainings. Shifts include evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays; starting wage is $17.30 hourly with medical, dental, vision, vacation, sick time, and 401K.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • At least 1 year experience working directly with youth, particularly youth experiencing homelessness
  • Ability to work with young people in crisis
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Shifts could include evening, early mornings, or weekends, including holidays
  • Physical requirements for the position include frequent walking, hearing, seeing, speaking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, climbing, and repetitive motions
  • This position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, pull, or move objects
