Job Summary
Perform personal care activities assisting patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, ambulation, transfers, dressing, shaving, and meal preparation. Accompany patients on errands or medical appointments while performing light housekeeping tasks. Execute patient-specific activities such as providing hospice supportive care, medication reminders, range of motion exercises, blood glucose monitoring, and incontinence care. Utilize lifting equipment like gait belts and Hoyer lifts for patient safety. Maintain incontinence care standards and assist with prescribed exercises as instructed by staff.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living
- Ability to perform light housekeeping activities
- Ability to perform patient-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home staff
- Ability to use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts
- Ability to provide hospice supportive care
- Ability to provide medication reminders
- Ability to assist with the prescribed range of motion exercises
- Ability to assist with blood glucose monitoring
- Ability to care of bed-bound patients
- Ability to perform incontinence care
- Ability to accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
- Ability to prepare meals and snacks according to instructions
- Ability to assist with dressing and shaving
- Ability to assist with ambulation and transfers
- Ability to assist with personal hygiene
Desired Qualifications
