Job Summary

Operate trucks in residential, commercial, recycling yards, construction sites, highways, and interstates while performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Communicate with dispatchers, log and track loads via tablets, and drop off or pick up recyclable containers. Clean road hazards off can sides, rails, doors, bumpers, fenders, wheels, and frame rails as needed before leaving the job site. Climb the front-right metal ladder to inspect can interiors for non-approved materials, persons, or animals, then open and close the rear door. Maintain accurate daily records and slips of loads while taking appropriate safety precautions. Work an average of ten hours daily, including overtime and Saturdays, under all weather conditions. This safety-sensitive position offers a quarterly driver bonus, medical/dental/vision coverage, two weeks of paid vacation, and a 401(k) match.

Required Qualifications

  • CDL Class A or B
  • Current Medical Card
  • Clean driving record and background
  • Able to pass a drug test
  • Willingness to work outside under all types of weather conditions
  • Must be able to work overtime, including some Saturdays
  • Must be able to operate trucks in residential, commercial, recycling yards and on construction sites as well as public roadways to include highways and interstates
  • Must be able to perform pre-trips and post-trips inspections
  • Must be able to communicate with dispatcher throughout the day
  • Must be able to log/track loads in our system with provided tablets
  • Must be able to drop off and pick up containers with recyclables
  • Must be able to keep accurate records and slips of loads each day
  • Must be able to take appropriate safety precautions while driving
  • Must be able to climb the attached metal fabricated ladder on the front right of the can to inspect the interior of the can for non-approved materials, persons or animals inside the can
  • Must be able to open and close the rear door on the can
  • Must be able to clean potential road hazards such as, debris, rocks, mud, dirt, sand, gravel, plastic, roofing etc. off of can sides, rails, and doors as well as truck bumpers, truck fenders, truck wheels and truck frame rails
