Honor Bar Attendant

Job Summary

Stock, replenish, and maintain all in-room honor bars according to established hotel standards while accurately recording consumption and submitting charges via the property management system. Inspect guest room honor bars daily to ensure cleanliness, organization, and product quality, rotating inventory using FIFO practices to minimize waste. Coordinate with Purchasing and Food & Beverage regarding shortages, report discrepancies or equipment issues immediately, and deliver guest-requested snacks and beverages promptly. Maintain cleanliness of storage areas, carts, and refrigerators while following all food safety and alcohol handling procedures. Work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to support high occupancy demands and assist with VIP arrivals.

Required Qualifications

  • California Food Handler Card required or ability to obtain within required timeframes
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)
  • Food Handlers certification (must comply with State regulations)
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
  • Frequently bend, kneel, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to safely operate carts and transport inventory throughout the resort
  • Must be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on business needs

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality, housekeeping, food and beverage, retail inventory, or luxury hotel experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to accurately record inventory, charges, and product movement
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn property management and inventory systems
  • Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling of beverages and packaged food products
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments
  • Ability to work independently while managing daily priorities
  • Maintain discretion and professionalism while entering occupied guestrooms
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
