Job Summary
Hone Operator needed in Crowley, TX, on a 4x10s schedule (4 day work week, 5:30am–4:15pm). Responsible for producing barrels using saws, straighteners, CNC equipment, hones, paint equipment, and inspection steps, following standard work and safety protocols. Engage in Lean Manufacturing practices, participate in daily team meetings, Continuous Improvement programs, and cross-train across multiple machines to maximize productivity. Must inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, and tape measures, read and interpret product specifications, and support overtime as needed. Preferred familiarity with oil and gas industry; strong computer skills and effective communication are required. Role involves working in a manufacturing setting with emphasis on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent education and/or experience
- 1 year of relevant experience
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- Good computer skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Read and understand product specifications, drawings, and prints
