Homologation & Product Compliance Specialist

Job Summary
Support vehicle homologation, type approval, and product compliance activities for European markets in accordance with EU legislation and applicable national regulations. Monitor regulatory developments and prepare technical documentation required for national approvals. Coordinate with European approval authorities, certification bodies, and internal cross-functional teams regarding homologation and compliance matters. Support vehicle registration activities, End of Series derogation applications, and market surveillance campaigns including regulatory reporting and product recall campaigns. Ensure compliance with environmental and product-related legislation including ELV, Battery Regulation, REACH, WEEE, PPWR, and F-Gas. Collaborate with Engineering, Product Planning, Quality, Legal, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Fluency in English
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in automotive homologation, type approval, product compliance, or regulatory affairs
- Good understanding of European automotive regulations, EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA), UNECE Regulations, and country-specific vehicle approval processes
- Knowledge of environmental and product compliance legislation, including ELV, Battery Regulation, REACH, WEEE, PPWR, F-Gas, and related EU legislation
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international and cross-functional environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and regulatory requirements across different European markets
- Chinese language skills
