Job Summary
The Purchasing/Distribution Coordinator at Rising Ground will manage the purchasing and distribution of emergency funding and supplies for survivors of domestic violence. This full-time position requires a bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience in program coordination or finance. The role emphasizes strong organizational skills, collaborative work, and a commitment to trauma-informed practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human services, social work, or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in program coordination, purchasing, finance, or operations support (non-profit or human services experience preferred)
- Strong organizational and financial management skills with attention to detail
- Experience managing budgets, processing invoices, and maintaining financial records
- Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual skills preferred but not required (Spanish, French, Haitian Creole, Mandarin, or other languages commonly spoken in NYC)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Cultural humility and sensitivity when engaging with diverse communities
- Commitment to social justice, equity, and anti-oppression
Additional Requirements
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work in-person in New York City (NY) for at least 3 days or more per week
- Ability to travel to other Rising Ground sites (if required)
