Job Summary

Homeownership Education Coordinator drives culturally responsive, trauma-informed education programming across in-person and digital platforms for low-to-moderate income households, focusing on homeownership education topics and community engagement. Responsibilities include developing and updating curriculum, coordinating events, partnering with internal teams, scheduling sessions and guest speakers, tracking attendance and outcomes, managing calendars and marketing plans, providing program narratives and grant materials, designing pre/post surveys, and utilizing tools like Salesforce and Zoom to measure effectiveness. The role requires collaboration with multiple departments, occasional evenings/weekends, and travel within the City of Chicago or Cook County. Bachelor's degree preferred; HUD Housing Counseling Certification required within six months; minimum three years in related education/training roles; willingness to obtain necessary certification and engage in ongoing professional development.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Psychology, Business, Housing, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience considered.
  • HUD Housing Counseling Certification – required. Willingness to obtain HUD Housing Counseling Certification within six (6) months of employment.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in adult education, training, workshop facilitation, housing counseling, financial education, or related program delivery.
  • Minimum three (3) years of curriculum development, lesson planning, or training content creation experience across in-person and virtual formats.
  • Experience presenting to diverse adult audiences strongly preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with coordinating virtual or in-person education events.
  • Experience with curriculum development or workshop facilitation strongly preferred.
