Job Summary
Conduct PDI, service, and repair of John Deere and competitor ground care equipment on customer sites across the local area. Diagnose faults in mechanical systems, perform cylinder grinding, transmission rebuilds, and electrical repairs using provided vehicles, laptops, and specialist tools. Maintain homeowner and commercial machinery with a focus on golf course turf equipment while delivering results and managing customer interactions. Requires an enhanced DBS check and experience with John Deere systems. Full-time role with 0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday hours and weekend rota.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check
- Experience working on John Deere or competitive commercial and homeowner machines
- Basic IT competency
- Strong comprehension of common mechanical systems
- Natural aptitude for diagnosing faults and putting into place robust repair solutions
- Experience with cylinder grinding
- Experience with transmission rebuilds
- Experience with electrical repairs
- Experience dealing with customers
- Great communication and customer service skills
- Experience working on John Deere equipment and systems
- Experience working on competitively branded turf and commercial machinery
- Experience maintaining and servicing golf course equipment
Desired Qualifications
