Job Summary
Conduct light housekeeping including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishes, laundry, and bathroom cleaning. Prepare meals and snacks according to client and family instructions. Provide companionship through conversation, walks, hobbies, and social activities. Assist with prearranged errands such as grocery shopping. Maintain accurate written documentation of services provided during shifts. Follow agency policies, procedures, and supervisor instructions while reporting concerns to supervisors. Work is performed in clients' homes with travel between locations potentially required. Flexible shifts available based on client needs including days, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a Homemaker Companion or in a similar role
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Current and valid driver's license, with the ability to safely operate a vehicle in compliance with applicable laws
Desired Qualifications
- Successful completion of a written competency evaluation
- Compassionate and patient attitude when working with clients
- High school diploma or GED preferred
