Job Summary
The Homemaker/Companion provides non-medical support to residents in-home and throughout the Duncaster community, following each resident’s individualized service plan. Responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal planning and errands, providing companionship, promoting safety, encouraging resident independence and engagement in meaningful activities, and maintaining accurate documentation while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 1 year of experience working with older adults
- Previous personal care experience in senior living, home care, or equivalent
- Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language
