Job Summary
Conduct home studies, home visits, and recertifications for foster parents while assessing foster and adoptive homes. Facilitate Kinship MAPP and Deciding Together trainings, and represent the agency at City, State, and other meetings. Collaborate with the Intake/Training Department, enter documentation into the LFCS Intranet and OCFS Connections database, and prepare comprehensive reports on foster homes. This role involves field and office work under general supervision, with travel to other locations required from the Brooklyn base. A valid NYS driver's license is needed if driving.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- relevant experience
- valid NYS driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's or bachelor's degree in social work or related field
- GPSII/MAPP Leader Certification
- Bilingual in Spanish
