Job Summary
Home-based Clinicians assist children with serious emotional disturbance and their families requiring mental health services. Responsibilities include providing individual and family therapy, conducting comprehensive assessments, crisis intervention, and case management services. The role requires coordination of care with other providers and documentation compliance with quality care initiatives. Candidates must have a Master's Degree in a relevant field, be state licensed, and possess at least 1 year of relevant experience, including work with minors and families. Proficiency in electronic health records and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy
- State licensure: Limited-Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LLMSW), Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW), Limited-Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Limited-Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LLMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Temporary Limited-License Psychologist (TLLP), Limited-Licensed Psychologist (LLP), OR Licensed Psychologist (LP)
- Possess or obtain Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) designation within 90 days of hire and maintain throughout employment
- At least 1 year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families
- Proficient with computers, Microsoft office products (including Outlook, Word, and Excel), and electronic health records (EHRs)
- Valid and unrestricted Michigan Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation and current proof of auto insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Possess or obtain Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) designation within 90 days of hire and maintain throughout employment
- Prior experience working with all age groups including children
- Solution focused brief therapy
- Substance use and co-occurring disorders treatment
- Stages of change and/or motivational interviewing
- Experience in the community mental health setting
- 1 year of clinical experience in individual and group psychotherapy under clinical supervision
- 1 year of master level experience in the examination, evaluation, and evaluation of children with severe emotional disturbances
