Job Summary
Responsible for initiating and maintaining regular home visits with families enrolled in our Home Visiting programs. Visits occur primarily in the family's home and last at least an hour. Interventions are family-centered and strength-based, aimed at establishing a trusting relationship, strengthening the parent-child bond, improving parenting skills to enhance the home environment, and increasing the family’s problem-solving and advocacy abilities. Responsibilities include goal setting and planning, assessing growth and development, providing educational and supportive activities for children and caregivers, monitoring progress toward family goals, coordinating with community services, and maintaining documentation and records. The role requires cultural sensitivity, effective communication with diverse individuals, collaboration with other agencies, and the ability to recruit families when appropriate. Licensure or certification requirements include a Driver's License for the state of Wisconsin, and the position may involve driving as part of program duties. Strong organizational skills, reflective practice, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential.
