Job Summary
Conduct weekly home visits to improve parenting skills and assist parents in using the home as a child's primary learning environment. Screen infants and toddlers using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire within 45 days of enrollment, then complete ongoing child development assessments to plan sequential activities. Assist families in obtaining medical and dental homes, developing self-sufficiency goals, and implementing Brightpoint Values. Maintain confidentiality of records and work outside the office with minimal supervision. Obtain the Home Visitors CDA and First Aid/CPR certification within 12 months of hire. Must possess an Associate Degree in Education or Social Services and be willing to work flexible evening hours.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Education, Social Services or related field
- Home Visitors CDA
- First Aid and CPR certification
- valid Indiana driver's license
- minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 on auto insurance
- Must be willing to work some flexible hours, including evenings, when requested
Desired Qualifications
- Work experience in Early Childhood Education and/or home visiting
