Home Repair Construction Estimator- PT to FT (30 hours)

Job Summary
Remote-position Construction Estimator supporting home repair and energy retrofit programs in the East Coast region. Responsible for QC of housing inspection data, updating Xactimate price data for wage scales, incorporating lead remediation costs when needed, developing SOWs and CAPGEMS entries, generating scopes of work and budgets for prequalified bids, supporting contractor bidding, and coordinating change orders while keeping projects within budget. Requires proficiency with Xactimate, DocuSketch familiarity, knowledge of energy efficiency processes, strong spreadsheet and reporting skills, and the ability to travel to project sites as needed. Must be able to collaborate with Construction Managers, inspectors, and funders and be trained in CAPGEMS.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction experience
- Xactimate software experience
- DocuSketch software familiarity a plus but not required
- Experience with Energy Efficiency Auditing and Blower Door Testing a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle to travel to project sites
- Willingness to be trained in CAPGEMS
- Ability to generate scopes of work (SOWs) and manage bid packages
- Strong understanding of state and local code requirements
