Job Summary
Identify customers' needs and guide them to appropriate lighting, appliances, hardware, plumbing, and window products. Work with homeowners, builders, and designers to solve problems, provide excellent service, and close sales using point-of-sale systems. Assist in new home lighting selections and cross-sell additional product categories like doors, moldings, and outdoor grills. Maintain knowledge of over 30 major brands and industry trends while following up on potential clients. This role supports Tri-Supply's expansion in Beaumont, Texas, leveraging a 35K sq ft showroom and best-in-class commission structure.
Required Qualifications
- Comfortable working in a large showroom environment
- Working knowledge of current brands and trends
- Ability to guide customers to purchase
- Not afraid to ask for the sale while making sure the customer is getting the best fit for their project
- Solve problems and provide excellent customer service
- Follow up on potential clients ultimately leading to sales
- Organized and attentive
- Continuous learning and self-development with over 30 major lighting brands as well as industry trends
- Willingness to learn how to sell our other product categories (doors and hardware, moldings, appliances, outdoor grills, plumbing, etc.)
- 2-3 years' experience in retail lighting sales preferred
- High school graduate or equivalent
- College education or degree a plus
- Bi-lingual a plus
