Job Summary
Solicit residential mortgages from various sources and produce high-quality loans that are compliant; build relationships with realtors, builders, financial professionals, bank stores, past customers, and other sources; maintain visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace; present loan program recommendations based on client needs and adhere to underwriting requirements; understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions; receive customer applications, quote rates, and perform follow-up with lock-in; ensure timely and proactive customer communication and participate in Wells Fargo training to increase product knowledge; role requires SAFE registration and compliance with LO qualification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Mortgage Retail Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- SAFE registration at the time of employment
- Must meet LO qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies
- Compliance with S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations
- Credit check/creditworthiness considerations (credit report used for assessment, not a determinant)
- Ability to analyze financial data and recommend appropriate mortgage loan programs
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
