Job Summary
Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing oversight of the Home Loans Credit Quality Assurance program, establishing frameworks and review standards aligned with regulatory expectations. Coach and develop a team responsible for loan-level reviews, while overseeing execution of quality reviews, root cause analysis, and issue identification across assigned processes. Analyze QA results to identify defects and trends, preparing executive-level reporting and insights for senior leadership. Partner with Business Control, Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams to address quality gaps, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support audit and regulatory exams. Oversee remediation efforts, validate resolution of material findings, and manage third-party vendor governance and performance monitoring. Present findings to senior management and governance forums, ensuring accurate classification of findings and maintaining independence from production functions.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control
- 5+ years' experience in mortgage industry including credit and underwriting
- 5+ years of people management experience
- BS/BA or equivalent
- Private Bank experience
- Project management skills
- Ability to partner with key stakeholders and gain consensus in the development of actionable remediation plans
- Deep understanding of industry regulations including underwriting guidelines, loan documentation, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience supporting internal audit, regulatory exams or governance committees
- Strong experience in Quality Management Systems such as Audit Genius etc.

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of management, both written and verbal
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills with ability to turn findings into strategic recommendations/suggestions
- Ability to connect quality metrics directly to financial, operational, and strategic business outcomes
- Working knowledge of Loan Origination Systems (LOS)
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business users and risk partners
- Ability to create clear and concise communications and executive summaries using strong analytic and writing skills
- Strong presentation skills for a senior audience including governance/committee forums
- Confident, initiative-taking, and independent initiative-taker
- Ability to work across organizational boundaries and build consensus across teams
