Job Summary
Own and guide the customer experience through the mortgage loan process from conditional approval to underwriting, including communicating conditions, requesting documentation, and providing status updates. Responsibilities include managing refinances (Chase-to-Chase and outside lenders), educating customers on process steps, expediting resolutions with internal partners, collaborating with Sales, Underwriting, Support, and Operations to ensure timely closings, and owning decision-making on counteroffers and program options while moving loans forward. Requires mortgage industry knowledge, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and strong customer-service and leadership capabilities; must be able to work with multiple levels of management and demonstrate proficiency in MS Office and loan-originator compliance. This role is located in Jacksonville, FL.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of mortgage experience with FHA/VA mortgages
- 3 years of experience in a customer service environment
- NMLS registration and adherence to SAFE Act requirements
- Knowledge of Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act requirements for loan originators
- Ability to work independently and in a high-performing team, with strong customer service orientation
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
