Job Summary
Conduct in-home infusion therapy visits with patients according to the plan of care, performing comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and initiating preventative or rehabilitative care. Prepare clinical and nursing notes documenting interventions, while offering telephone and in-person education on therapy protocols, drug side effects, and adherence. Serve as a patient liaison between patients, families, and pharmacy departments to ensure seamless therapy processes. Manage patient expectations regarding services and outcomes, develop care plans with skilled interventions, and regularly evaluate progress to revise plans as needed. Work collaboratively with pharmacy departments to maintain knowledge of drug interactions. Per Diem schedule with flexible hours; independent contractor status.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Expertise in home infusion therapy
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Current RN state license
- 2+ years of experience in home infusion and infusion centers
- Experience with IV Immunoglobulins and IV Biologics
- CRNI certification (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion)
- Experience with peripheral IV starts
- Infusion therapy
- Phlebotomy for both adult and pediatric patients
- Effective interpersonal skills

- Strong verbal communication skills
- Organizational ability to maintain consistently accurate records
- Ability to direct information to the appropriate healthcare provider
- Proficient in computer skills, including word processing
- Efficient use of the internet and email
- Current CPR certification
- Current BLS (Red Cross and AHA) certification
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Automobile insurance
- Must be physically able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Must be able to constantly communicate with patients and team including via telephone and texting
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ Experience with IV Immunoglobulins and IV Biologics. CRNI certification(Certified Registered Nurse Infusion) is preferred.
- Experience with peripheral IV starts, infusion therapy, and phlebotomy for both adult and pediatric patients is preferred
