Job Summary
Conduct in-home infusion therapy by administering IV, subcutaneous, and injectable medications, performing pre-treatment assessments, and monitoring patients for adverse reactions. Provide patient education on medication mechanisms and side effects, coordinate follow-up communications, and maintain accurate documentation of clinical procedures and patient responses. Support pharmacy operations through quality control activities, inventory management, and insurance verification for specialty medications. Collaborate with the nursing team and Clinical Nurse Supervisor to adjust care plans and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Work 5-10 hours per week with travel up to 2 hours from Mobile, AL, compensated at $43-$45/hr plus mileage.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance coverage
- Access to a reliable automobile
- College degree or certification
- 2 years of RN experience
- Ability to multi-task and frequently change direction
- Accessing PIV lines, Ports and maintaining PICC lines: 1 year
- Successful completion of a drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- ER/ICU/Infusion experience: 1 year
- Infusion experience in a hospital or Home Health setting: 1 year
- Active IgCN certification
