Job Summary
Infusion nurse role delivering in-patient-home care: administer specialty medications via IV or subcutaneous routes, travel to patients’ homes within up to 2.5 hours of Phoenix to provide infusion and related care, monitor patients during infusions, assess medical history and vital signs, educate patients and caregivers on medications and side effects, ensure accurate documentation and compliance with pharmacy policies, coordinate with pharmacists and nursing staff, manage inventory and assist with insurance verification/authorization for specialty medications. Additional duties include IgCN mentorship activities for certified nurses, documentation of competency, and adherence to safety and infection control protocols. Hours indicate part-time scheduling with a minimum weekly commitment to meet benefits thresholds; compensation ranges from $43 to $48 per hour plus mileage.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Arizona
- Eligibility to travel up to 2.5 hours from Phoenix for home visits
- Ability to administer IV and subcutaneous infusions and injections
- Experience with infusion therapy and patient education
- Knowledge of hospital/clinic nursing practices and healthcare regulations
- IGCN certification (if available) may be required for IgCN mentorship activities
