Job Summary
Infusion Nurse II coordinates and provides intermediate direct patient care in the home or alternate infusion setting under physician plans of care. Responsible for initiating and implementing nursing care, administering medications, educating patients and families, coordinating discharge planning, and ensuring compliance with policies and HIPAA. Provides training and mentorship to Infusion Nurse I’s, maintains real-time documentation for billing, supervises paraprofessionals when applicable, and communicates with the clinical team to optimize patient care. Requires active RN license, 1+ year nursing experience, CPR, and ability to travel; a BSN is preferred. Travel can be up to 100% for business purposes and the role may involve working in home and infusion-suite environments across states.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience
- Current CPR certification
- Basic knowledge of computer operating systems and software
- Willingness to travel up to 100% for business purposes
- BSN preferred (as per PQIs)
