Job Summary
Administer and manage intrathecal pump therapy for patients with chronic pain or spasticity, performing refills, reprogramming, and troubleshooting in coordination with prescribing providers. Educate patients and caregivers on medication regimens, pump function, and signs of adverse reactions or infection. Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity and quality of care while documenting all activities accurately in electronic medical records. Maintain your own schedule while traveling within the area up to 180 miles in a full-time, permanent role operating Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active, unencumbered license in the state of practice
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- At least 1 year in home infusion or pain management
- Current BLS certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform one-person CPR continuously, according to American Heart/Red Cross standards
- Ability to lift and/or move, push and pull equipment up to 5 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Additional licensure or compact status
- Home health experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Comfortable working independently in a home setting and managing a mobile work schedule
- Excellent clinical judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills
