Job Summary
Administer and manage intrathecal pump therapy for patients with chronic pain or spasticity, performing refills, reprogramming, and troubleshooting in coordination with prescribing providers. Educate patients and caregivers on medication regimens and pump function while documenting all care activities accurately in electronic medical records. Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care within the Grand Rapids, MI area. Maintain your own schedule while traveling up to 180 miles, operating Monday through Friday in a full-time, permanent role.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active, unencumbered license in the state of practice
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in home infusion or pain management
- Current BLS certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform one-person CPR continuously, according to American Heart/Red Cross standards
- Comfortable working independently in a home setting and managing a mobile work schedule
- Up to 180 miles travel within the area
- Monday-Friday schedule availability
Desired Qualifications
- Additional licensure or compact status
- Home health experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current TB Skin test or QuantiFERON blood test (within the past 12 months)
- Excellent clinical judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills
